A RESOLUTION | Honoring Steve and Jerry Panzner on receiving a 2013 National Wetlands Award. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Steve and Jerry Panzner on being presented with a 2013 National Wetlands Award by the Environmental Law Institute; and |
| WHEREAS, This prestigious honor is a fitting tribute to Steve and Jerry Panzner for transforming their family's vegetable farm into the Panzner Wetlands Wildlife Preserve, a wetlands mitigations bank covering 104.7 acres, and donating it to The University of Akron to serve as a science laboratory for education and research. Their dedication and determination stand as the hallmark of responsible citizenship, and through their decisive leadership and unfaltering devotion, they have certainly distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and |
| WHEREAS, Steve and Jerry Panzner outstanding commitment to excellence have helped to guarantee a high level of success for all projects with which they have been involved and have earned them the respect and esteem of many. It is through the conscientious efforts of individuals such as these that our state and nation continue to grow and prosper; and |
| WHEREAS, Willingly giving of their time, energy, and abilities, Steve and Jerry Panzner have striven to better the world around them. We are certain that in the years to come, they will continue to display the same unwavering commitment to the preservation of Ohio's natural heritage and are truly deserving of high praise; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Steve and Jerry Panzner on their recent accolade and salute them as fine Ohio citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Steve and Jerry Panzner. |
