A RESOLUTION | Honoring Larry L. Long on retiring from the County Commissioners' Association of Ohio. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Larry L. Long on his retirement after forty years of exceptional service with the County Commissioners' Association of Ohio; and |
| WHEREAS, Larry Long is, indeed, deserving of high praise. A former employee of the U.S. Department of Defense Intelligence Agency, the Ottawa County Regional Planning Commission, and the Ohio Department of Economic and Community Development, he commenced his tenure with the County Commissioners' Association of Ohio as a management specialist in 1974, and he was named assistant director in 1982 and executive director in 1986. Clearly, he has ably fulfilled his myriad responsibilities and demonstrated exemplary dedication to serving his community; and |
| WHEREAS, A talented and hard-working individual, Larry Long has also served as the assistant treasurer of the County Risk Sharing Authority and County Employee Benefits Consortium of Ohio, the president of the CCAO Service Corporation, and the editor of the County Commissioners Handbook, and he has made many significant contributions to many counties' growth and development. He has displayed the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society, and he has established a record of public service that stands as a hallmark for others to emulate; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of conscientious people such as Larry Long that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, he has striven to serve his fellow citizens to the best of his ability, and we applaud him on his fine work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Larry L. Long on his retirement and wish him health, happiness, and prosperity in the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Larry L. Long. |
