A RESOLUTION | Honoring Michaela Wenning as the 2013 Division II State high jump champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Michaela Wenning on winning the 2013 OHSAA Division II State Championship in the high jump; and |
| WHEREAS, A junior at Celina High School, Michaela Wenning has combined talent and competitive spirit with the highest ideals of good sportsmanship to establish herself as a truly exceptional young athlete. With admirable dedication, she has worked diligently toward attaining ultimate proficiency in the high jump, and as a result, she won the Division II State Championship title with a height of five feet, five inches; and |
| WHEREAS, Michaela Wenning's accomplishments and leadership, both in and out of competition, are a justifiable source of pride and a fine reflection not only on her but also on her family, her teammates, her coach, her school, and her community. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has earned her the respect and esteem of many, and she is certainly worthy of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, With athletic competition playing such an important role in the total education of our young people, we are extremely pleased to pay tribute to Michaela Wenning on an exemplary season. Indeed, the same maturity and experience she has gained through her participation in track and field will greatly aid her in meeting the challenges of the future; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Michaela Wenning on her personal success and salute her as one of Ohio's finest young citizens; and be it further |
