A RESOLUTION
Honoring the State Employment Relations Board on its Thirtieth Anniversary.

       WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the State Employment Relations Board on the auspicious occasion of its Thirtieth Anniversary, celebrated April 1, 2014; and

       WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the State Employment Relations Board, for throughout the last three decades, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to Ohio. Founded in 1984, the board works to promote orderly and constructive relationships between public employees and their employers, and its accomplishments are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the agency itself but also on its astute management and hard-working staff, for these individuals have distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and

       WHEREAS, Over the years, the State Employment Relations Board has enhanced the quality of life within Ohio. Through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of the public employees it has so capably served; and

       WHEREAS, We are certain that as the State Employment Relations Board maintains its dedication to service, it will carry on the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of agencies such as SERB that the State of Ohio continues to prosper and remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the State Employment Relations Board on its Thirtieth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the State Employment Relations Board.
