A RESOLUTION | Honoring Stephen Romanik as a 2014 Division I State Diving Champion. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Stephen Romanik on winning the 2014 Division I State Diving Championship; and |
| WHEREAS, Stephen Romanik is deserving of this honor, which acknowledges the formidable athletic gifts and the competitive spirit that he has so amply revealed throughout this past season as a standout for the Nordonia High School diving squad. Among his achievements, he placed first in the diving event with 565.10 points, and to his credit, he has exhibited the skill, strength, agility, and stamina that befit a genuine champion. It is no surprise that he has won so many admirers; and |
| WHEREAS, Few sports embody the spirit of individual accomplishment more than diving, and athletes such as Stephen Romanik exemplify the qualities necessary for excellence in any sport, including discipline, agility, conditioning, and focus. Indeed, throughout long hours of practice and preparation, he has consistently shown the talent and motivation that are the hallmarks of an exceptional athlete; and |
| WHEREAS, By developing such extraordinary prowess as a diver, Stephen Romanik has earned the appreciation of his fellow athletes, the devotion of countless fans, and the respect of even his most determined rivals. Participation in high school sports has enabled him to learn much about dedication, self-discipline, and leadership, and in the process, he has made his family, friends, and community very proud; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Stephen Romanik on his outstanding performance in state competition and extend best wishes for continued success; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Stephen Romanik. |
