A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Jewish Community Board of Akron on its One Hundredth Anniversary.

       WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate the Jewish Community Board of Akron on the auspicious occasion of its One Hundredth Anniversary; and

       WHEREAS, Recognition of this prestigious milestone is a fitting tribute to the Jewish Community Board of Akron, for throughout the last century, it has achieved a remarkable record of service to the area. Founded in February 1914, the board has helped to raise funds and support social, educational, recreational, and cultural services provided by the Shaw Jewish Community Center, and the achievements of JCBA are a justifiable source of pride and an outstanding reflection not only on the organization itself but also on its dedicated members, for these individuals have certainly distinguished themselves as conscientious and hard-working Ohioans; and

       WHEREAS, Over the years, the Jewish Community Board of Akron has enhanced the quality of life within the surrounding area. Through its generous contributions, it has earned the respect and gratitude of the community it has so capably served; and

       WHEREAS, We are certain that as the Jewish Community Board of Akron maintains its dedication to service, it will continue in the tradition of excellence that has long been its hallmark. We are proud to note that it is through the unceasing efforts of groups such as this that the State of Ohio continues to prosper and remains a pleasant place in which to live and work; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Jewish Community Board of Akron on its One Hundredth Anniversary and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Jewish Community Board of Akron.
