A RESOLUTION
Honoring Lynda Murray on her retirement from the Ohio Library Council.

       WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Lynda Murray on the memorable occasion of her retirement as director of government and legal services for the Ohio Library Council; and

       WHEREAS, Throughout her distinguished career, Lynda Murray has demonstrated an unwavering dedication to performing her duties and fulfilling her responsibilities with the utmost efficiency and competence. Serving as director of government and legal services for the Ohio Library Council for more than twenty-two years, she was instrumental in the creation and funding of the Ohio Public Library Information Network, and she has helped public libraries develop grassroots networks, secure statewide funding, and conduct searches for directors and fiscal officers; and

       WHEREAS, Lynda Murray is, indeed, a remarkable individual, combining civic concern with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader for the State of Ohio. Always sincere and energetic in her approach to her work, she has given generously of her time and abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to improving the quality of life in our society; and

       WHEREAS, The enthusiasm and expertise Lynda Murray has shown in her endeavors have earned her the respect of all those with whom she has been associated. As she retires, she has the satisfaction of knowing that she has provided a valuable service to the state and has established a record of personal and professional achievement that will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Lynda Murray on her retirement and salute her as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Lynda Murray.
