A RESOLUTION | Honoring Dr. Joseph Alutto for his loyal and outstanding service to The Ohio State University. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to Dr. Joseph Alutto for more than twenty years of service to The Ohio State University; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout Dr. Joseph Alutto's distinguished professional career, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the academic community by fulfilling his responsibilities with the utmost integrity and competence. The only two-term interim president of The Ohio State University, he has brought to his position a wealth of experience gained as the dean of the Max M. Fisher College of Business, the executive dean for professional colleges, an executive vice president, and a provost at The Ohio State University. In addition, he has been active with the Ohio Higher Education Funding Commission, the Dalian University School of Business and Behavioral Sciences Association, and the Zheijang University College of Management, and he has inspired students to strive to reach their highest ambitions and has awakened in them an appreciation for education that they will carry with them throughout their lives; and |
| WHEREAS, Dr. Joseph Alutto's unstinting contributions of time, talent, and seemingly inexhaustible energy to his students over the years have earned him the respect and admiration of everyone with whom he has been associated. It is only fitting that someone with his dedication and perseverance be recognized for the contributions he has made, again and again, to The Ohio State University; and |
| WHEREAS, Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, Dr. Joseph Alutto has given freely of his abilities far beyond what was required or expected and has displayed a genuine commitment to achieving his goals in a skillful and professional manner. He has the satisfaction of knowing that he has provided a vital service to The Ohio State University and that his career will stand as a hallmark for others to emulate; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, applaud Dr. Joseph Alutto on his tremendous record of achievement and wish him the best in the future; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Dr. Joseph Alutto. |
