A RESOLUTION | Honoring Julie S. Henahan on her retirement from the Ohio Arts Council. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Julie S. Henahan on retiring as the executive director of the Ohio Arts Council; and |
| WHEREAS, Julie Henahan is, indeed, a remarkable individual, for she has combined civic concern and dedication with selfless initiative to become a dynamic leader in the State of Ohio. Joining the council in 1984, she held various posts, including arts administrator, director of the grants office, and deputy director, before she was named executive director in 2006, and she has also been involved with such organizations as the National Standard Working Group and the National Assembly of State Art Agencies and its Information and Planning and Budget committees; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout her thirty-year tenure, Julie Henahan has clearly shown the potential of each person to have a positive effect on the quality of life in our society. Always sincere and energetic in her approach to her work, she has distinguished herself as a conscientious and responsible Ohioan, and she is truly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, We are proud to note that it is through the unsurpassed efforts and deep commitment of diligent people such as Julie Henahan that the State of Ohio continues to grow and prosper. Over the years, she has striven to serve her fellow citizens to the best of her ability, and we applaud her on her fine work; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Julie S. Henahan on the occasion of her retirement and extend best wishes for the years to come; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Julie S. Henahan. |
