A RESOLUTION | Honoring Jeffrey W. Patterson as the 2015 Ohio Superintendent of the Year. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to congratulate Jeffrey W. Patterson on being named the 2015 Ohio Superintendent of the Year by the Buckeye Association of School Administrators; and |
| WHEREAS, Selection for this prestigious distinction is an honor of which Jeffrey Patterson can be proud, for he has been recognized for his professionalism, communications, leadership for learning, and community involvement. Previously serving the Lakewood City School District as assistant superintendent for five years, he has held the post of superintendent since 2011, and during his tenure, the district raised student achievement scores and passed two tax increases; and |
| WHEREAS, With exceptional skill and commitment, Jeffrey Patterson has been tireless in his efforts to ensure that all students receive the best possible education. Always sincere and energetic in his approach to his work, he has displayed an unwavering dedication to attaining the myriad goals of the Lakewood City School District in a skillful and professional manner, and he is certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, Throughout his career in the field of education, Jeffrey Patterson has supported countless students in their scholastic endeavors and has helped nurture within them a desire for academic excellence. Willingly giving of his time, energy, and abilities far beyond what was required or expected, he has earned the respect and gratitude of his colleagues, his community, and, most importantly, his students for his genuine concern for young people; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend Jeffrey W. Patterson as Ohio Superintendent of the Year and salute him as one of Ohio's finest citizens; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Jeffrey W. Patterson. |
