A RESOLUTION
Honoring Aaron Craft on being selected as the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America of the Year.

       WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to extend special recognition to Aaron Craft as the 2013 Capital One Academic All-America of the Year for Division I men's basketball; and

       WHEREAS, Displaying exceptional ability, leadership, and dedication during the 2012-2013 season, Aaron Craft has certainly distinguished himself as one of the most talented basketball players in the United States. A junior at The Ohio State University, he has averaged 9.2 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.0 steals per game so far this season while maintaining a 3.92 grade point average, and this has led to him being named the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year for Division I; and

       WHEREAS, Throughout intense training and preparation, Aaron Craft has consistently demonstrated the talent, integrity, and motivation that are the hallmarks of a true champion. He has inspired his teammates, thrilled his fans, and gained the respect of his opponents; and

       WHEREAS, Participation in academics and sports has enabled Aaron Craft to learn much about self-discipline and commitment, and in the process, he has made his family, friends, and community very proud. It is no surprise that he has won so many admirers; therefore be it

       RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, congratulate Aaron Craft on his recent national accolade and extend best wishes for ongoing success; and be it further

       RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to Aaron Craft.
