A RESOLUTION | Honoring the Miami East High School girls volleyball team on winning the 2012 Division III State Championship. |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio are pleased to pay tribute to the Miami East High School girls volleyball team as the 2012 Division III State Champion; and |
| WHEREAS, Each member of the Miami East High School girls volleyball team is an excellent young athlete, and Coach John Cash has demonstrated remarkable energy, enthusiasm, and dedication in guiding this squad to victory. This season, the Vikings bested the team from Bishop Ready High School by a score of 28-26, 25-15, 25-17 to win the Division III State Championship and compiled an overall record of 29-1. The unwavering commitment of the members and their coach has earned them this prestigious distinction, and they are certainly deserving of high praise; and |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Miami East High School girls volleyball team have established themselves as a truly exceptional squad, and they have emerged as winners both in and out of athletic competition. John Cash's skill as a coach is reflected in their outstanding success, and due largely to his tireless efforts, he has earned the respect and admiration of all who know him; and |
| WHEREAS, In an educational system that seeks to teach the future leaders of our state and nation the fundamentals of self-reliance and the rewards of individual and group effort, athletic competition has become a valuable educational tool. Through their participation in sports, the members of the Miami East High School girls volleyball team have learned lessons of discipline, perseverance, hard work, and good sportsmanship that will undoubtedly be of great benefit to them throughout their lives; therefore be it |
| RESOLVED, That we, the members of the Senate of the 130th General Assembly of Ohio, in adopting this Resolution, commend the Miami East High School girls volleyball team as the 2012 Division III State Champion and salute all those who contributed to the success of this fine team; and be it further |
| RESOLVED, That the Clerk of the Senate transmit a duly authenticated copy of this Resolution to the Miami East High School girls volleyball team. |
