A BILL
To enact section 307.852 of the Revised Code to authorize a board of county commissioners to appropriate funds to tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations for the design and construction of a veterans memorial education center and veterans service commission office.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 307.852 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 307.852. (A) A board of county commissioners may appropriate from the county general fund moneys not appropriated for any other purpose to an organization that is exempt from federal taxation under subsection 501(a) and described in subsection 501(c)(3) of the "Internal Revenue Code of 1986," 100 Stat. 2085, 26 U.S.C. 1, as amended, for the design and construction of a facility to house a veterans memorial education center and veterans service commission offices.
(B) Before an organization receives funds from a board of county commissioners under this section, the organization shall enter an agreement with the county providing for all of the following:
(1) That the organization shall be required to keep current and accurate accounts of its use of the money;
(2) That the organization shall be liable to repay any moneys to the county that are used improperly;
(3) Any other terms and conditions specified in the agreement.
