A BILL
To formally state the General Assembly's intentions in its upcoming deliberations on providing a more responsive and responsible government.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. In conducting its deliberations on providing a more responsive and responsible government, the General Assembly may consider any of the following:
(A) Promoting transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government;
(B) Examining potential cost-saving measures, such as streamlining services and creating economies of scale;
(C) Thoroughly reviewing and monitoring all contracts with private providers of government services, and requiring that their records be open for examination;
(D) Removing bureaucratic barriers to government services;
(E) Any other matter the General Assembly considers relevant to advancing the vital public policy of providing a more responsive and responsible government.
