A BILL
To enact section 1503.061 of the Revised Code to
create the Ohio Tree Fund to be used to reforest
land that is owned by the state.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 1503.061 of the Revised Code be
enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 1503.061. There is hereby created in this state
treasury the Ohio tree fund. The fund shall consist of gifts,
donations, bequests, and other money contributed to it. The chief
of the division of forestry shall use money in the fund to
purchase tree seedlings for the reforestation of land that is
owned by
the state, maintain those seedlings, and acquire
additional land
for the planting of trees.
