A BILL
To enact section 5.061 of the Revised Code to adopt the Ohio Tartan as the official tartan of the state.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF OHIO:
Section 1. That section 5.061 of the Revised Code be enacted to read as follows:
Sec. 5.061. The Ohio tartan is hereby adopted as the official tartan of the state. The tartan exhibits the following complete pattern: six red, sixteen green, two azure, six blue, two azure, eighteen gold, six blue, eighteen gold, two azure, six blue, two azure, sixteen red, six white. The colors represent the following:
(A) Red is taken from the official flag of the state and represents the official bird of the state, the cardinal.
(B) Green and gold are taken from the great seal of the state and represent the state's leadership in agriculture.
(C) Azure is taken from the great seal of the state and represents the eight individuals from the state who served as president of the United States.
(D) Blue is taken from the official flag of the state and represents the waters of the state, from the Ohio River to Lake Erie.
